Australian women are more knowledgeable about genetics

In a trans-oceanic collaboration, a team led by Dr. Ilan Dar-Nimrod from the University of Sydney found that being a female and having interest in genetics were positive predictors of genetic knowledge in an Australia sample. Compared with previous surveys, the current sample showed significantly better genetic knowledge, especially with regards to health and illness. Great collaborative effort, wonderful results.
